Off The Mat, Into the World – to support their continued work using yoga programming to inspire conscious sustainable activism and ignite grassroots social change. OTM’s mission is to use the power of yoga to inspire conscious, sustainable activism and ignite grassroots social change. They do this by facilitating personal empowerment through leadership trainings, fostering community collaboration, and initiating local and global service projects.
We at OLLI have witnessed first hand the magic and creativity that has come out of the OTM programs, which has truly enabled us to step off of our mats and into the world to make it a better place. We humbly give our utmost gratitude to OTM for empowering us to do so. Without their programming, leadership and guidance, it would not have been possible. A portion of this Years OLLI event will go back to OTM so that they can continue to provide scholarship opportunities for those who could not otherwise afford the attend the leadership programs.
Puresa Humanitarians mission is to save lives, to reach, rescue, and restore children and women from the horrors of human trafficking and sexual servitude by creating new pathways and a way out from slavery, that these innocent victims and survivors may now have hope and a future and live the life that God intended for them.
Please join us and be part of the solution to help break the cycle of human exploitation and sexual slavery.
Girls Educational & Mentoring Services (GEMS) is the only organization in New York State specifically designed to serve girls and young women who have experienced commercial sexual exploitation and domestic trafficking. Girls Educational and Mentoring Services (GEMS) was founded in 1998 by Rachel Lloyd in response to an overwhelming need for services for girls and young women at risk for commercial sexual exploitation and domestic trafficking who were being ignored by traditional social service agencies. GEMS’ programming is gender responsive, trauma informed, developmentally grounded, strengths based, social justice oriented, and culturally competent. GEMS’ founding principles reside in survivor leadership and transformational relationships. GEMS’ services are based on the needs and interests of survivors and the agency’s programming is developed based on survivors’ ideas, input, and expertise. GEMS provides young women with empathetic, consistent support and viable opportunities for positive change.
